Introducing the Team at Skydive Southcoast

Mat Knight
Chief Packer
No of jumps: 3 Tandems, 8 Solos so far
Mat says:
Did my first tandem at 15 in Namibia with Gordon then had a few years break. Started working at SSC just over a year ago as DZ Help and then progressed to packing. Being in the sport reignited the flame for skydiving and am busy completing my AFF course at the moment.

Chris Molloy
Pilot
Number of lifts: No idea sooooo many!
Chris tells us
I have a degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences (although you’d never have guessed if you looked at me!) although I have decided to fly planes for a living. I am currently enjoying the skydive flying and hopefully I will be flying for the airlines in the near future as that’s my next goal.

Andy Edmonds
Camera Flyer
No of jumps: 1,600
Andy thinks
My ancestors evolved thousands of years ago in the African Savannah (originally we were just soup and before that star dust), gradually homo-sapiens dispersed throughout the globe, reaching Andover just before tea time in midsummer 38,000 BC. 39,963 years later I was born.
After my family, my passions are Skydiving and Photography, luckily I can combine them both as a Camera Flyer at Skydive Southcoast.

Steve Thain
My job is what you tell me!
No of Jumps: 947
Steve remembers
I did my first jump in 1999 and ever since then I’ve been staring at the sky in a bit of a daze! My first job before leaving school was the tea boy at a dropzone in Cyprus. These days I shy away from the tea making but spend as much time as I can in the air taking tandems, photos & video. I am also a static line instructor and a Parachute Rigger. When not around the dropzone I’m concentrating on my career in watersports or trying out new crazy sports!

Pete Mac
Instructor
No of jumps: Quite a few
Pete our man of action simply says
Been jumping a long time and still loving it!! So lets go!

Nick Brownhill
Tandem instructor
No of jumps: 3,500+
Nick justifies his mid-life crisis
An OCD Taurean trying to live his second youth. About to leave the Army after 24 years service in the Royal Engineers during which I have had the opportunity to visit (usually through American invitation) all of the various places you’d want to avoid. Looking forward to becoming a full time skydiver because it is definitely the best thing in the world
