Every week people who jump with us rush home and write about their experience, some even add pictures. Why not pop over to our Facebook page and have a look at some of our photos from past weekends and what students have had to say.

  • The weekend that was

On Sunday (7th March 2010) we held our regular Vintage Sunday event and welcomed a huge number of visitors to the Airfield.

We started the day bathed in glorious sunshine, a theme which carried on for the whole day. Having arrived for work at 07:50 there were people already at the airfield who were keen to get started.

75 visiting aircraft enjoyed the flight in, around 15 people took the vertical decent option and all of the flying training organisations made the most of the 10 knot 'down the runway' breeze and deep blue skies. General aviation spectators filled the car park almost to our maximum limit, a large motorcycle group also popped in to enjoy the day and we have never seen so many aviation photographer's tripods on the field.

We have to thank our customers, regular and visitor alike...

  • Once there was a man
A retired dentist with no small amount of spare time on his hands has created the most detailed model aircraft made entirely out of metal.

Using a pair of tweezers, the controls can be moved. All cables and linkages are in place to work the wing control surfaces as well. Young Park has since carved a pilot's face and hands from solid aluminum and built an articulated pilot to sit in the cockpit.
